HEALTH EDUCATION 102. HEALTH EDUCATION FOR SECONDARY
TEACHERS. Men and Women. This course deals with the high
school pupils' characteristics, needs, health and interests.
Three semester hours.
HEALTH EDUCATION 201. (Formerly H.E. 103.) PUBLIC HEALTH.
Men and Women. Study will be made of public health organizations.
Problems relating to public health will be considered.
Three semester hours.
HEALTH EDUCATION 202. (Formerly H.E. 106.) PERSONAL HYGIENE.
Men and Women. Study will be made of the anatomy,
physiology and hygiene of the organs of the body. Three semester
hours.
HEALTH EDUCATION 301. (Formerly H.E. 204.) FIRST AID AND
SAFETY EDUCATION. Men and Women. This is a lecture and
laboratory course designed to cover First Aid, Home Safety,
Civil Defense, and to fulfill the requirement set by the American
Red Cross for a Standard and Advanced Certificate.
Three semester hours.
HEALTH EDUCATION 302. (Formerly H. E. 202.) HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY.
Men and Women. This course will present an intensive
study of the function of the organic system. Prerequisite,
Biology 101-102. Three semester hours.
HEALTH EDUCATION 303. (Formerly P.E. 211.) PERSONAL AND
COMMUNITY HEALTH. Men and Women. A course to provide
knowledge and techniques needed for healthful living, including
a general survey of sanitary science as applied to the
control of food and water supplies, waste disposal and other
phases of community health. Three semester hours.
HEALTH EDUCATION 401. (Formerly H.E. 203.) CORRECTIVES. Men
and Women. A study will be made of the defects of children.
Causes of defects, together with cures, preventives and therapeutics
of exercise will be considered. Prerequisite, H.E. 302.
Three semester hours.
HEALTH EDUCATION 402. (Formerly H.E. 205.) METHODS IN FIRST
AID AND SAFETY EDUCATION. Men and Women. Lecture and
laboratory course to cover teaching Methods of First Aid
and Safety Education. Course fulfills requirements set by
American Red Cross for an Instructor's Certificate in First
Aid and Accident Prevention. Three semester hours. Prerequisite:
H.E. 301 or holders of Advance Certificate.- -
