The Nine hours of electives should be on the student's minor.
Physical Education 111, 112, 211, and 212 are required of all
Freshmen and Sophomore students. If a student has knowledge
of a disability that should exclude participation in these courses,
he should see a physician and his case will be adjusted upon receipt
of the recommendation of the physician.
The Department sponsors the Women's Recreational Association
for all women interested in voluntary participation in a
wide variety of clubs and intramural activities; for those majoring
in Health and Physical Education, there is a professional club.
P. E. Ill-Men and Women-General physical education
activities including correct posture, good grooming, general
health habits, and an introduction to a few major sports. One
semester hour credit.
P. E. 112-Men and Women-Activity periods for basketball,
bowling, and archery. One semester hour credit.
P. E. 211-Men and Women-Activity periods for volleyball,
table tennis, and tennis. One semester hour credit.
P. E. 212-Men and Women-Activity periods for softball,
badminton, shuffleboard, and rifle shooting. One semester hour
credit.
Health Education
HEALTH EDUCATION 101. HEALTH EDUCATION FOR ELEMENTARY
TEACHERS. Men and Women. The content of the course is
based upon the child's characteristics, health, interests and
needs. Three semester hours.__
