beautiful cottages erected by churches and associations. During
the year a number of denominational meetings are conducted at

CAMPUS AND GROUNDS
The main campus contains eleven acres, on Center, Austin

A portion of the ground is covered with native oaks.
The campus has been enlarged in recent years by the addition
of many lots on Center, Fisk and Carnegie Streets. A twentyfive
acre stadium site has been secured on Martin Hill, a few
blocks from the Main Campus.
On the campus are located the following buildings: Main
Building, Library, Howard Payne Hall, Science Hall, Taylor
Hall, Heating Plant, the Chapel, Physical Education Building, and
the Home Economics Building. The Chapel and Fine Arts Building
faces Center Avenue, between Howard Payne Hall and the
Main Building. On the campus are located several commodious
tennis courts.
Fisk Avenue Park. The Athletic Park lies between Fisk Avenue
and Brady Avenue. It is within about five minutes walk of
the College.
