purposes only, except that the present board of three trustees of
Paradise Common School District No. 34, Wise County, State of
Texas, shall serve as such until the next election of trustees, at
which time five trustees shall be elected, two to serve one year
and three to serve two years and until their successors are duly
elected and qualified.
SEC. 4. All bonds heretofore voted in said Paradise Common
School District shall remain in full force and effect against the
territory of said district which votes same; all outstanding contracts
and liabilities of the said Paradise Common School District
are assumed hereby by the Paradise Independent School
District.
SEC. 5. The board of trustees of this district, as herein created,
and their successors in office, may appoint a tax assessor
and collector for said district and a board of equalization.
SEC. 6. The unsatisfactory condition of the school in said
district creates an emergency and an imperative public necessity
that the constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three
several days should be suspended, and said rule is hereby suspended,
and that this Act take effect and be in full force from
and after its passage and it is so enacted.
[NOTE.-The enrolled bill shows that the foregoing Act passed
the House, 110 yeas, 0 nays; passed the Senate, 27 yeas, 0 nays.]

CREATING THE WOLF CITY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL
DISTRICT IN HUNT COUNTY.
H. B. No. 385.] CHAPTER 135.
An Act to create the Wolfe City Independent School District in Hunt
County, Texas, including the present Wolfe City Independent School
District of said county, providing for a board of trustees in said district;
vesting said independent school district and board of trustees
with all the powers, rights, privileges and duties conferred upon independent
school districts incorporated under the General Laws of
Texas; providing that the board of trustees of the present Wolfe City
Independent School District shall continue to act as such until their
successors are elected as provided herein; divesting the city of Wolfe
City of the control of the public schools of the district, as created
by this Act; and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That the Wolfe City Independent School District
in Hunt County, Texas, is hereby created and established, including
the present Wolfe City Independent School District of said
county, with metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point on the line between Hunt and Fannin
Counties, said point being due north of the N. E. corner of the
Donstein survey in Hunt County, Texas; thence south to the N.
