CREATING THE ANSON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
IN JONES COUNTY.
H. B. No. 390] CHAPTER 136.
An Act to create the Anson Independent School District in Jones County,
Texas, including therein the present Anson Independent School District,
incorporated under the General Law; providing a board of trustees
therefor, vesting said Anson Independent School District board
of trustees with all the rights, powers, privileges and duties conferred
upon independent school districts incorporated under the General
Law of Texas; providing for the validation of all contracts, bonds or
other valid indebtedness and tax levies of the present Anson Independent
School District, as the subsisting obligations and acts of the
Anson Independent School District as created by this Act; providing
for an election to determine as to the assumption of outstanding
bonded indebtedness of territory hereby incorporated, as herein set
out; and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That the Anson Independent School District is
hereby created and established in Jones County, Texas, including
therein the territory of the present Anson Independent District,
with metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at the S. E. corner of Survey No. 50 Orphan Asylum;
Thence W. with the S. B. line of said Survey No. 50 to the S.
W. corner of same continuing W. with S. B. lines of Surveys
Nos. 2, 5 and 8, made for the M. E.
Thence W. with W. B. lines of Survey Nos. 6, 5 and 4 T.
Thence N. across the T.
Thence N. across said Survey No. 70 to a point in the N. B.
line of the same 263 vrs. W. from the N. E. corner of the B.
B. B.
Thence E. with N. B. line of said 70 to the N. E. corner of
same;
Thence E. with N. B. line of Surveys No. 69, 42 and 41 of the
B. B. B.
Thence E. across Survey No. 16 of the T.
Thence E. with S. B. line of said Johnsons Homestead to an
intersection with the W. B. line of Survey No. 14 Orphan Asylum
land;
Thence due E. to an intersection with the E. B. line of said
No. 14;
Thence S. with E. B. lines of Surveys No. 14, 15, 32, 33, and
50 made for the Orphan Asylum to the place of beginning, and
