CREATING THE PARADISE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL
DISTRICT IN WISE COUNTY.
H. B. No. 380.] CHAPTER 134.
An Act creating the Paradise Independent School District in Wise County,
Texas; defining its metes and bounds; vesting it with the rights,
powers and duties of districts incorporated for school purposes only,
under the General Laws of the State of Texas; providing for the assumption
of the outstanding bonds of the Paradise Common School
District; and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That the Paradise Independent School District
is hereby created in Wise County, Texas, containing within its
limits the following described territory, to-wit:
Beginning at the S. E. corner of the Wm. Burke survey;
thence west to the northern N. W. corner of the lower tract of
Matagorda County school land; thence south to Garrett's Creek;
thence up said creek with its meanderings to the east line of the
J. B. Atroff survey of 960 acres; thence north with the E. B.
line of said Atroff survey to a point west of the N. W. corner
of L. H. Youngblood survey; thence east to the S. E. corner of
J. W. Haynes survey of 136 acres; thence north to Rush Creek
in the Geo. Caruthers survey of 320 acres; thence up said Rush
Creek with its meanderings to a point in the Geo. Caruthers
survey of 960 acres due east of the S. E. corner of thE J. E.
Barnhill survey; thence west to the S. E. corner of Barnhill;
thence northwest with Barnhill E. B. line to Matagorda County
school land; thence east along the north line of the Geo. Caruthers
survey of 960 acres to the N. W. corner of a tract out of
said Caruthers survey owned by Joe Koeninger; thence south
to his S. W. corner; thence east to his S. E. corner on the west
line of the Nancy Etters survey; thence south to Nancy Etters
S. W. corner; thence east to S. E. corner of said survey; thence
north to her N. E. corner and N. W. corner of T. H. Mays survey;
thence east to the S. W. corner of Block No. 1 Matagorda
County school land upper survey; thence north to the N. W.
corner of Block No. 2 of said Matagorda school land; thence
east to the N. E. corner of said Block No. 2 on the west line of
F. S. Supleveda survey; thence north to the N. W. corner of said
survey; thence east passing the N. E. corner of said Supleveda
survey; and an inward corner of the A. Robinson survey to the
