B.A. 112. (Formerly 107.) BUSINESS IATHENIATICS. This
course includes a study of interest, annuities, bonds and bond
sinking funds, depreciation methods, and commercial credit devices.
This course counts as mathematics credit on a major in
Business Administration. Credit: Three semester hours.
B.A. 211. (Formerly 225.) CHURCH ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL
ADMINISTRATION. Application of accounting principles and
systems to the requirements of the church. Emphasis on church
budgets and financial reports. Detailed records of the church
maintained by the student throughout the course of study. May
be counted as Religious Education 303. Prerequisite: Sophomore
standing. Credit: Three semester hours.
B.A. 311. (Formerly 204.) BUSINESS LAW. General principles
and case study of the law of contracts, sales, agencies, suretyships,
bailments, and insurance. Credit: Three semester hours.
B.A. 312. (Formerly 205.) BUSINESS LAW. A more comprehensive
course dealing with partnerships, corporations, chattel
mortgages, bankruptcy and negotiable instruments. Prerequisite:
B.A. 311. Credit: Three semester hours.
B.A. 313. (Formerly 218.) BUSINESS STATISTICS. Training in
the quantitative methods of analysis in dealing with the problems
of business management. Use of the graphic methods in presenting
data; types of averages; problems of correlation and business
cycle. Mathematics 405 may be substituted for this course. Credit:
Three semester hours.
B.A. 314. (Formerly 215.) SALESMANSHIP. Economic problems
of selling; an analysis of the product, the market, and the
individual buyer; planning the presentation, building the goodwill
of buyers and employers. Practical application in the form of
class participation and individual demonstration. Credit: Three
semester hours.
B.A. 412. PUBLIC RELATIONS. The relationship of the business
or service organization to its public employees, stockholders,
community, customers, social, and religious institutions. A study
of the major steps in setting up a sound public relations program
for schools, churches, and business, through all media of communication.
Prerequisite: Junior standing and three hours of advanced
Business Administration. Credit: Three semester hours.
B.A. 414. RETAIL STORE MANAGEMENT. A fundamental course
in retail merchandising, considering organization and personnel;
location; layout; buying and selling policies; advertising.75
