MATRICULATION PLEDGE
Each applicant for admission must sign the following pledge:
"If admitted I pledge myself to refrain from hazing, from
smoking in the buildings, from gambling and profanity and other
conduct unbecoming a college student; to devote myself to my
studies and to observe the rules of the institution under penalty
of automatic suspension."
GRADES AND CLASSIFICATION
GRADING SYSTEM
Grades are given by the semester. The grade represents all
the work of the student in the course concerned including the
daily recitations, special tests and examinations, and the final
examination.
A student's rating in his work is indicated by letters as follows:GRADE INTERPRETATION HONOR POINTS
A, 91-100 Excellent 3 per semester hour
B, 81- 90 Good 2 per semester hour
C, 71- 80 Fair 1 per semester hour
D, 66- 70 Passed 0
E, 61- 65 Conditioned 0
F, Below 60 Failed 0
I, Incomplete 0
The lowest passing grade is D. A student failing to complete
the work of any course is given a grade of E, F or I. F means
failure. The course must be taken again before credit can be
given. E means some serious defect, which may be removed. I
means that a student with standing not lower than D has omitted
some part of the assigned work. A condition indicated by E or I
must be removed within a year; otherwise the grade will automatically
become F.

On the basis of these marks, students are classified as follows:
Freshmen-High school graduates.
Sophomores-Thirty semester hours and 30 honor points.
Juniors-Sixty semester hours and 60 honor points.
