18. Student contestants must make at least a C grade.
19. Before being eligible for college honors or student offices
the student must make at least a C grade.
20. Scholarship holders and students employed by the college
must make at least a C grade.
21. No student will be permitted to enroll or change courses
after the first three weeks of each semester.
22. Students suspended from other schools for poor scholarship
or other reasons will not be admitted to Howard Payne
unless they fulfill the requirements for readmission to the institution
concerned.
23. For graduation, students must complete 124 semester
hours of liberal arts work and make in addition 124 honor points.

24. Not more than 30 hours may be counted in the principal
group, except in certain fields for a B. S. degree. See Music Department
for rule in music.
25. No credit will be given for a foreign language continued
for less than six hours.
26. Freshmen may not take more than six hours in one department.

27. Sophomores may not take more than six hours in one
department per semester. Department of Music has its own curriculum.28. Freshmen may not elect more than three and sophomores
more than six hours in a semester.
29. Students who desire may substitute Greek for mathematics.POINT SYSTEM FOR ACTIVITIES
A club is defined as any organization that has its charter or
constitution approved by the Student Council, Faculty Committee,
and filed with the Dean.
No student may hold more than 12 points in student organization
memberships which may be apportioned as follows: No
student may use more than 6 points in club membership. Membership
in any club counts 2 points.
