Admission Requirements 11
Medical Examination Record
The Student Health Record (Medical Examination) must
be submitted before enrollment. Students who have attended
another college may submit a copy of the
physician's report which was prepared for their previous
institution. Students must, however, complete the "personal
history" section of ACU's form. The Student Health
Record should be sent to the Office of Admissions.
All admission records, transcripts, test scores, fees and
deposits, and Student Health Records must be on file
before a student can enroll and attend classes. If because
of some hardship, a student with a missing document is
permitted to enroll, he will have 60 days to complete his
record or else be withdrawn from the university. Such students
may apply to the Dean of Academic Support for reenrollment
after the missing documents are submitted.
ORIENTATION
All new students with fewer than 15 semester hours must
attend a freshman registration program during the summer. Key parts of the registration will be the Freshman
Battery of Tests, Credit by Examination sessions, and
registration for classes.
Orientation is held just before school starts in the fall.
This is a time for discussion of various aspects of university
life, including academic course planning, and for social
activities designed to help students find their place at
ACU. There are no exemptions from either registration
or orientation. Information is mailed to students during
the spring term.
Scheduled simultaneously with the Freshman Orientation
is a Parents Orientation. All parents are encouraged to attend
these sessions, some of which are held with the students,
while others are designed to inform parents in
special areas. Details will be mailed to prospective students
in the spring after application has been made.
Transfer students with 15 semester hours or more should
attend a one-day transfer orientation which will be
scheduled just before enrollment for classes.
