Double counterpoint, free composition. Prout or equivalent. Two
lessons a week. 1-3 of a unit.-College.
SIGHT SINGING
MR. BALDWIN
I. The Staff, Notes, Measures, Divisions, Rythmn, the Major
Scales, Diatonic Intervals, Major Triad, Minor Scales, Diatonic Intervals,
Minor Triads, Chromatic Tones, Ties, Slurs, Syncopation,
Triplets.
II. Major Scales, Minor Scales, Modulation, Dominant Key, Subdominant
Key, Relative Minor and Major Keys, Alternating Tones,
Distance modulation, Two and Three part singing. Division and
Reading.
All pupils in Voice Department desiring to secure diplomas will
be required to take course in Sight Singing.
Forty minutes, two times a week, will be given FREE in sight
singing. All students will be advised to take this course. Those who
desire special work will pay a reasonable fee.
VIOLIN
MISS BASS1. Joachim Bowing Exercises; Finger Exercises, Schradieck
and Sevcik, Op. 1; Major and Minor Scales to four sharps and flats
