For students who have had Spanish A, or its equivalent. Careful
study of Spanish grammar, pronunciation, reading.
Texts.-First Spanish Course, Hills and Ford; Espana Pintoresca,
Dorado.
SPANISH 2.
Fall, Winter. Spring. Three Hours a Week.
In the course the class will review and continue the study of
Grammar and Composition. There will be translations with emphasis
on literary appreciation of books read.
Texts.-Composition and Conversation, Espinosa; Zaragueta,
Carrion-Aza; Cuentos y Cantares, Trueba; Short Stories, Trueba.
SPANISH 3.
Advanced Courses. Fall, Winter, Spring. Three Hours a Week.
In this course there will be read more difficult texts. There will
also be weekly themes and daily conversation.
Texts.-A Trip to South America, Waxman; Marienela, Galdos;
Dona Clarines, Quinteros; O Locura o Santidad, Echegaray.
