made of economical buying and composition of foods in reference
to the body needs.
4. FooDs.
Two Hours Recitation and Two Hours Laboratory a Week.
This course includes advanced problems in foods, cookery and
marketing. A study of the fundamental problems of nutrition
throughout infancy, childhood, adolescence, adult, and old age. The
planning and serving of typical dietaries with reference to income,
age and occupation.
Prerequisite.-Foods 1; Chemistry, 1 or 41.
10. MILLINERY.
Fall Term.
This course includes the making of paper patterns, net, buckram,
and wire frames; covering of a winter and summer hat;
trimmings, renovation of materials.
6. HOME PROBLEMS.
Advanced Course. Two Hours Recitation and Two Hours Laboratory
a Week.
This course includes a study of house planning. Preparation and
arrangement of wall spaces and furnishings; color appropriate to
function and exposure; color harmony in furnishings, draperies,
and other fittings. A study of the operations of the household thru
organization and apportionment of time and income.
Prerequisite.-Junior standing.
LATIN
LATIN 11.-CICERO.
Fall. Three Hours a Week.
De Senectute and Amicitia will be read. In connection with
the text, comparisons will be constantly made with more modern
theories on those subjects. Latin syntax will be continued. Word49
