EDUCATION 105.
Advanced Course. One Term.-Three Hours a Week.
Educational Tests anid Measurements.-This course endeavors to
give a general survey of the measuring movement in Education.
It provides for a study of the history of the novenex : t a ;3:udy of
units and standards, and tb1e une of avLa;1abl tL.: s and scales in
elementary and high school subjects.
Prerequisitae.- -Junior standing.
The completion of Courses 10, 11 and 12, in Education, together
with the completion of four other College courses, aone of which
must be in English, and not more than two of the remainiini courses
in any one subject, will entitle the student to receive ain elementary
certificate, valid for four years, or a high school certificate valid
for two years.
Upon completion of ten college courses, including two years'
work in Education, the student is entitled to receive an elementary
certificate valid for six years, or a high school certificate, good for
four years. The six years' elementary cer: ifiate may be made
permanent upon the romll)c ' Tn of five vyern cf su.^essful teaching.
The completion of three years' work in Education as a part of
fifteen regular college courses, will entitle the student to receive
a high school certificate valid for six years, provided that one of
the courses in Education shall bear upon high school teaching and
shall include observation w.Tork and student teaching.
Upon completion of twenty college courses, including four full
years' work in Education, one of which shall bear upon high school
teaching, and one of which shall include methods, observation, and
student teaching, the student may obtain a permanent high school
certificate. The same certificate may also be secured in recognition
of the bachelor's degree, including two full courses in Education,
one of which shall bear upon high school teaching, when the holder
of the degree shall have had twenty-seven months' successful experience
in teaching subsequent to the taking of the degree.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION 110.
Fall. Three Hours per Week.
This course presents the philosophic basis of Christian activities
and emphasizes the Psychology of Religious Training.
Prerequisite.-Bible 1 and 2.37
