day morning Dec. 15.

Forum portion of the 48th an-
nual Abilene Christian College
Bible Lectureship have been
named by Dr. J. D. Thomas Lec-
tureship director.
The Biblical Forum Is a feature
held three nights in which noted
scholars In the Church of Christ
discuss research topics in depth.
Dr. Edwin H. Enzor Jr. of Ab-
ilene and Edward H. Rockey of
Brooklyn N.Y. will appear at
the first session.
Enzor will discuss "The Work
of James McGready." He was a
pioneer Restoration preacher.
Enzor is a member of the Abilene
Christian speech department
Rockey will discuss the Ecu-
menical Institute Conference
held in Geneva Switzerland last
year. He attended the meeting
by special invitation. Rockey is
a member of the Brooklyn Col-
lege speech faculty and minister
for the Church in Red Bank NJ.
William Green and 'Dr. Frank
Pack both of Los Angeles will
speak at the second session.
Green a faculty member at
Peppcfdine College will spcaW
on "Opposition to .Instrumental
Music in the First Three Cen-
turies." Pack chairman of the Pepper-
dine department of religion will
discuss "The Catholic Edition of
the Revised Standard Version."

South Africa. Larry West Stan-
ton junior was awarded third.
First prize is a $25 award given
by Dr. J. D. Thomas of the Bible
Department. Second prize Is $10
worth of religious books given
by Dr. 'Fred Barton dean of the
graduate school.
Third prize is a Bible given
by Dr. J. W. Treat of the modern
language department.
Winners were named by three
judges after the contestants read
from the Bible at chapel services
Dec. 15. t i
Warpula read from Psalms 91
and I Kings 18. Uys read from
Psalms 94 and Revelation 21
and West read from Mark 15 and
Psalms 22.
The contest was stared In 1951
by Dr. Thomas and his wife to
encourage Improvement of pub-
lic reading of the Bible.
Fall Exams
Approach;
Spring Near
Another year another fall se-
mester ends another spring se-
mester begins.
Today is the final day of full
activity in the fall semester.
Next week January 10-14 will
bo Dead Week. Final examina-
tions will be given Saturday
through Thursday January 15-20.
After a three-day break spring
semester registration will begin
with new student enrollment on
Monday January 24 at 10 a.m.
General 'registration for former
students will begin Tuesday
January 25 at 8 a.m. and con-
tinue through 4:30 p.m. on Wed-
nesday January 26. Late regis-
tration with a $10 late fee will
begin Thursday January 27.
Classes will meet on schedule
beginning on Thursday January
27 at 8 a.m.

students finally go home for the holidays? No more pounding

Just peace and quiet for the well worn halls of the adminis-

the vacation all ended Monday (below). And the pounding

theme of the 48th annual ACC
Bible Lectureship slated Feb. 20-
24. Dr. J. D. Thomas lectureship

Bible faculty and minister of the
Graham Street and Northslde
congregations in Abilene.
Thomas announced earlier that
Tony Ash assistant professor of
Bible at ACC will speak on "The
Christ and the Bible."
