BEHRENS BABES'
LUAU
The Behrens' Dorm party turned out
nicely. The band played burgers were
grilled and lei were passed out. All stu-
dents and faculty were welcomed to come
and listen as a special band from Abilene
Christian University played steal drum
Calypso music.
After hours of brainstorming the
R.A.'s came up with the idea of the luau
which was kicked off by Susan Summers
R.A. on the fourth floor they planned
everything from the food being specially
ordered from Sam's to the party being out
by the pond.
Games such as the limbo were played
for competitive fun even though the
Dorm Director Brandie Speight ended up
winning.
The luau was especially good for those
that needed to take a breather from the
books and eat.
"I really needed to take a break from
studying" said Behrens babe Stephanie
Mexia in between chews. "Plus the food
is free too!''
So what makes Behren's so much
fun? Definitely the parties and being able
to hang out with friends according
Sophomore Cassie Cable Behrens's sec-
ond floor R.A.
"I liked the Christmas party a lot last
year" she said as she lifted up Behrens's
baby Hannah. "All the girls got to togeth-
er decorated the dorm and baked cook-
ies." The luau ended with success and the
rested students snatching a cookie or two
went back to their rooms ready to hit the
books again.
