BIBLE 405. (Formerly 206). COMPARATIVE RELIGION. This is
a study of the living religions of the world. Proof is offered that
Christianity is superior to all other religions. Three semester
hours.
BIBLE 406. COMPARATIVE DOCTRINES. This is a study of some
four or five Christian denominations as to wherein they differ
from Baptists in doctrines and church polity. Three semester
hours.
BIBLE 407. THE PENTATEUCH. The Poetical Books. Hebrew
History. Three semester hours.
BIBLE 408. THE INTER-BIBLICAL PERIOD. The contents of this
course include the source of the New Testament scriptures, the
formation of the New Testament Canon. Three semester hours.
BIBLE 409. JOHANNINE LITERATURE. This is a study of the
New Testament writings of the apostle John. Three semester
hours.
BIBLE 410. THE APOSTOLIC AGE. This is a study of the founding
of Christianity, its development under Jesus and the apostles,
and its progress and influence during the first century. Three
semester hours.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION 101. INTRODUCTION. The theories, methods
and principles of religious education. Three semester hours.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION 102. INSTITUTIONS. Religious education
in the home, school, college, etc. Three semester hours.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION 201. PRACTICAL WORK. Religious Education
is a vital part of the church work as in the Sunday School,
Training Union, Vacation Bible School, W.M.U., and the Brotherhood.
The study and demonstrations of this work is the greater
part of this course. Three semester hours.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION 202. BAPTIST HISTORY. An outline of
Baptist principles based on the Bible will be studied, and a history
of these principles to the present day will be traced, including
how these principles led to the formation of the Baptist Denomination.
Three semester hours.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION 301. (Formerly 203). CHURCH LEADERSHIP.
This is a study of those leadership principles that are necessary
for the pastor and other church officers to know and possess
in growing a church. Three semester hours.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION 302. (Formerly 204). COUNSELING.
This is a study in Christian guidance in connection with various
problems of Christian living. Three semester hours.67
