pagan center such as Corinth was are observed, and students
appreciate the dynamic character and tender heart of the intrepid
and versatile author. They are encouraged to feel and to
partake of the deep spirituality of the rich prison epistles.
Students may not have credit for both Bible 374 and Greek 362.
380-The Book of Revelation.
In this course the following topics will be considered: The prologue;
the fortunes of the church; God's supremacy and Christ's
indispensable position in Revelation; the struggle of the church;
the judgment of God upon her enemies; her final victory; the
triumph of Christ and His church; the glorious reign of God
and His saints in the new Jerusalem; the epilogue.
382-Literary Introduction to Old Testament
Minor Prophets, Isaiah, Job, Psalms and Proverbs are carefully
studied with the definite purpose of understanding the writings
themselves, and of grasping their vital spiritual message. May
be accredited as literature in Department of English.
384-The Church of Christ
This is a comprehensive summarization of all details recorded
in the Bible pertaining to the church.
Also a definite study of Leadership in the church.
390-The Bible and Archaeology.
The monuments and inscriptions of Assyria, Babylonia, Egypt,
and Palestine which have been recently discovered and translated
are studied particularly from the value of their testimony
to the integrity of the Bible. (Offered as required). Prerequisite:
Junior standing and consent of instructor.
394-Christian Evidences.
This is a study of nature of evidence, miracles, Christ's life as
an evidence of the divine origin of Christianity, trustworthiness
of the gospels. Open to juniors and seniors.
297-The Glory of Christ
The book of John is the text. The glory of Christ in life and
power as He alternated miracle with sermon and controversy;
His glory in suffering, both among His friends in the upper
room and among His enemies in arrest, trial and death; and
finally His glory in the resurrection and the ascension are
treated in this course.
298-Christian Doctrine.
The book of Romans is the text. Its doctrines of condemnation,
justification, sanctification, glorification, predestination, and
consecration are studied, carefully, verse by verse. The purpose
of the course is to give students a comprehensive grasp of
