DANIEL BAKER COLLEGE
THE SCHOOL OF MUSIC
The School of Music at Daniel Baker College has an enviable
record for first class and thorough musical work. Throughout a
period of years, the School has been directed by musicians of high
standing and broad culture.
CLASSIFICATION.
The courses of study are arranged to meet the needs of two
distinct classes of students; first, those who are candidates for
graduation; and, second, those who desire to study some branch
of music for its cultural value, without reference to graduation.
For convenience, the two groups are classified as regular students
or special students.
EQUIPMENT.
The teachers' studios are located on the first and second floors
of the new Fine Arts Building, and are well equipped with pianos
of standard makes. The practice rooms are favorably located for
their puruose, are suitably equipped. and are maintained under the
supervision of the music faculty. The College has one Estey twomanual
organ with pedals, and two grand pianos, for recital purposes.COURSES OF STUDY
No inflexible systems of teaching are used, each student receiv,
ing instruction according to the needs of his case, based upon discrimination
and sincerity.

THE DUNNING SYSTEM
The teaching of beginners in Piano study according to the
Dunning System has proven highly successful. This system proe
