Gymnasium fee is $2.00 per term. This fee is required of all
students who are not taking full course in College.

PUBLIC SPEAKING
Class instruction in reading and public speaking: Fall, Winter
and Spring terms. Two hours a week.
The aim of this course is to train the students in correct speech
habits in regard to laniuage, voice, pronunciation, enunciation, and
thought processes, and effectiveness in public speech.
The work of this department is vocational as well as cultural.
Through the development of the student's individual powers, they
are fitted for the work of the home, church and community.
This course is required for graduation.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION FOR WOMEN
Freshmen are required to carry two hours of physical education
each term in either Course 1 or 2, for purposes of recreation and
general healthCOURSE
1.
1. Corrective Gymnastics consists of formal gymnastics, marching
tactics, games and special corrective exercises. This course includes
a thorough study of round shoulders, defective condition of
the spine, and all the vital organs, weak and flat feet-thus offering
improvement to poor postures.
COURSE 2.
2. Outdoor sports, basketball, tennis and swimming.
The students are required to wear the regulation costume for
gymnasium class. This consists of black or dark blue bloomers,
white middy blouse, blue or black tie, and gymnasium shoes.
Students entering after this must have two year' physical training
for graduation.62
