A bsences.
Special regulations in regard to absences from class:
For four unexcused absences--A special quiz shall be given with
twice the value of the regular quiz.
For five unexcused absences-In addition to the special quiz,
the grade shall be reduced for the term by one letter.
For six unexcused absences-No grade shall be given for the
term.
For each special quiz there will be a charge of $1.00 made.
Unexcused absences from a pre-announced quiz shall coun' with
grade of 0.
Grades for the term will be held up until Commencement, and
will be forfeited by unexcused absence from Baccalaurea e sermon
or Commencement program.
For absences, excused or unexcused, from more than one-third
of recitations in any class, the student shall be required to do
special work approved by the Committee on Credits or forfeit
grade.
Valid Excuses-Sick excuses on blanks furnished at the office
will be accepted and recorded by the Registrar as valid.
All other excuses will be passed upon after conference by the
President.
Permission to be out of town may or may not carry excuse for
absence from class.
Excuses are due the first day after absence, and must be in by
the third day. ,
Absences for one week before examinations shall count double.
Teachers are expected to report daily all absences.
Church and Chapel Attendance.
1. All students are required to attend Chapel. This is a part
of the College work, and absence from this engagement counts
the same as an absence from class. Only five absences a term
are allowed, on penalty of suspension.
2. All students are expected to attend Church and Sunday
School every Sunday morning, in the church which they have previously
signified as the church of their choice. This also is a College
