A MEETING of the
ATTENDED
Panhandle Dental Society in
Amarillo Monday evening guests
of Dr and Mrs Roy McCasland
Three things impressed us One
was the elaborate introduction
given the Tulia doctor Second
was his well delivered opening
speech
ttu
WAS the speech of another
doctor who recounted t the
fils Ory of dentistry He told several
superstitious theories of the
profession in earlier days Included
was the belief that worms
caused tooth decay and by eating
onions the worms would vacate
Had the original premise been
proven the second hypothesis
would have probably been a deft
solution One dentist tfgmarked
that some patients evidently try
that remedy first before visiting
the doctor even nowadays
