Black Tie Dinner.
The award for "Outstanding Volunteer for
Excellence in Board Service" went to Michael
Dulaney, the secretary of AIN's board of direc-
tors. Dulaney provides numerous hours with
administration and organization including pro-
viding minutes, maintaining paperwork of the
board and representing AIN in the community
Marshall said. She called Dulaney a consummate
volunteer of long tenure, noting that he assists
with many aspects of AIN's fundraising.
In 2003, AIN recognized Dulaney with the
Outstanding Volunteer Service Award of
Excellence for events and fundraising.
Neda Jusovic was named "Outstanding
Volunteer for Excellence in Client Services," and
Marshall said Jusovic s "commitment and ener-
gy towards AINs clients is unparalleled as she
ensures that basic life necessities — food, cloth-
ing and shelter — for each individual is met."
"She spends countless hours asking family
members, Mends, neighbors, strangers and any-
one who will listen for canned food, clothing and
supplies to help keep AIN's Daire Center kitchen
pantry and client clothing closet stocked,"
Marshall said.
Named as "Outstanding Volunteer for
Excellence in Daire Center Services" was Henry
Martinez, who has been volunteering since 2005
and has given countless hours of time in AIN's
adult day center, known as the Daire Center.
Marshall said he assists every day with answer-
ing phones, holding arts and crafts sessions,
cleaning, helping clients check in to the Daire
Center and serving as a peer coach with other
clients.
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Oak
Cliff won the award for "Outstanding Volunteers
for Excellence in Faith Based Services*" and
Marshall said the church has consistently provid-
ed volunteers and funding for AIN since 2005.
The church's Labyrinth Walk Coffee House
selected AIN as a 2005 and 2006 beneficiary of
funds raised through a monthly live music venue
featuring a variety of musicians in a non-smok-
ing, non-alcoholic setting.
Dennis Zutter was named "Outstanding
Volunteer for Excellence in Agency Based
Services." Marshall said he is the first person
many people have seen at AIN's front desk or
hear on the phone when they have called AIN on
Tuesdays and Thursdays for more than a year
now.
He volunteers more than 30 hours weekly
answering phones, assisting in fundraising
events, greeting clients and guests, handling gen-
eral administrative tasks and helping with what-
ever is needed, she said.
AIDS Interfaith also presented special
Certificates of Recognition to:
• Grace McFerrin for outstanding long-tenn
volunteer commitment to AIN, including her cur-
rent service on AIN's board of directors. She has
been managing AIN's Care Team with First
United Methodist Church since 1993, and
received AIN's: Outstanding Volunteer in Client
Services award in 2003. McFerrin acts a liaison
to several communities by helping provide
HTV/AIDS education and helping cultivate vol-
unteers.
• Jeff Hurt for outstanding service in public
relations for AIN. Hurt volunteers his expertise to
help AIN build the infrastructure needed to
increase development and marketing efforts, and
to facilitate the community's awareness of the
work and mission of AIN.

age than missing goods. Police reports list the
damage to the machine as valued at $5,000. The
original stolen ATM machine was listed as
$40,000, so if thieves managed to crack the oys-
ter, they may have found a $35,000 "reward" for
their efforts.
There has not been a significant increase in
burglaries in the Oak Lawn area, said Donna
Hernandez, a spokeswoman in the Dallas Police
Media Affairs office. According to the Dallas
Police website, 37 of the 82 burglaries in 2005
were businesses, and businesses were the target
for 41 of the 74 burglaries reported so far this
year.
