An Alumni Homecoming Art Show will be
displayed in the gallery of the Ryan Center of
Fine Arts, Saturday, November 1 1 from 9 a.m.
until 5 p.m. The exhibit will include paintings
and drawings in any medium.
All McMurry former students are invited to
display up to three works of art. They should
not exceed 40" x 50" in size and must be
suitably framed and wired for hanging. Name
and hometown of artist and McM class year
should be attached to front of painting.
You may deliver your work to the Fine Arts
Center on Friday, November 1 0 from 1-5 p.m. or
from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday, November 1 1.
If you prefer, you may ship them crated
(freight prepaid) to reach the McMurry Alumni
Office by no later than Thursday, November 9.
A return address label should be included. All
work sent by mail or carrier will be returned
(freight collect) beginning November 15. Care
and precaution will be taken, but we regret
that the alumni office can not be responsible
for any loss or damage.
There will be a large Chanter memorabilia
display during Homecoming at the 10 o'clock
Saturday morning coffee honoring Gypsy Ted
Sullivan Wylie. You are invited to bring any
number of items (pictures, costumes, news
clippings, etc.) that you would like to share.
Please deliver your memorabilia to the new
Ryan Center of Fine Arts by 9:45 a.m. so that
the display may be arranged. They may be
removed anytime after 12 noon.
Homecoming Show this year will be A
NIGHT IN VAUDEVILLE. The student directors,
Mike McCaleb and Mike Ford, urgently need
"old timey" props from the vaudeville era.
(Suits, dresses, hats, canes, etc.) If you have
any of these items and would allow their use in
this musical show, please send to Mike
McCaleb, P. O. Box 2, McMurry Station,
Abilene, TX 79605.
Please specify if you want the props
returned, giving your name and address and a
list of the items you want returned. All
reasonable care will be taken and they will be
returned beginning November 15 - or you may
pick them up in person following the second
performance of the show (about 3:45 p.m.) on
Saturday.
