36, Township 2 south; and thence southward along the east line of
Section No. 1, in Block 36, Township 3 south, to the southeast
corner of said Section No. 1, Block No. 36, Township 3 south;
thence westeward along section lines of Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, and
4, Block No. 36, Township 3 south, to the southwest corner of Section
No. 4, Block No. 36, Township 3 south; and thence westward
along section line between Sections Nos. 5 and 8, in Block No. 36,
Township 3 South, to where the line between Midland and Glasscock
Counties interesect said section lines; and thence north
along the Midland and Glasscock County line to the place of beginning.
SEC. 3. All taxes heretofore voted and levied in said county
line district and all contracts made by the trustees of said district
are hereby validated in all respects.
SEC. 4. The Boone County Line District shall be under the jurisdiction
of Midland County and shall in all respects be governed
by the General Laws pertaining to the public schools.
SEC. 5. The crowded condition of the calendar creates an
emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring that the
constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several days
be suspended and that this Act take effect from and after its
passage, and it is so enacted.
[NOTE.-The enrolled bill shows that the foregoing Act passed
the House, 111 years, 0 nays; passed the Senate, 28 yeas, 0 nays.]

ESTABLISHING A MORE EFFICIENT ROAD SYSTEM FOR
ORANGE COUNTY.
H. B. No. 501.] CHAPTER 161.
An Act to establish a more efficient system of public roads for Orange
County, and to empower the commissioners' court thereof to provide
rules and regulations therefor; to provide for the condemnation of private
property for road purposes; and to provide for the appointment
of a county engineer; to allow the issuance of bonds for the purpose
of funding or refunding indebtedness incurred for road and bridge
purposes; and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That, subject to the provisions of this Act, the
commissioners' court of Orange County, shall have full power and
authority, and it shall be its duty to adopt at a meeting of said
court, at which the county judge and at least three of the county
commissioners of said county shall be present, and cause to be recorded
in its minutes and put into effect such rules, regulations,
plans and systems as it may see fit for the maintenance, laying
out, opening, widening, drainage, grading, constructing, building,
