442 SPECIAL LAWS.
Bishop Independent School District, which said district comprises
the same territory as the present Bishop Independent
School District and certain additional territory lying west of
and adjacent to the Bishop Independent School District and
known as Common School District No. 24 in Nueces County,
Texas. The said Bishop Independent School District as herein
created includes within its limits the municipal corporation of
the city of Bishop; the metes and bounds of said district to be
as follows:
Beginning at the southeastern corner of fractional Section
No. 137, of the F. Z. Bishop subdivision of the Driscoll ranch,
for the southeastern corner of this district.
Thence S. 89 degrees 35' W., with the northern boundary line
of the "Los Sauces" grant to Jose Antonio Hinojosa, 13,170
varas to the northwestern corner of said "Los Sauces" grant,
in the bed of the San Fernando creek, for a corner of this district.
Thence up said San Fernando creek with its meanders to a
point in said creek, a corner of said Nueces County, and of Kleberg
County, for a corner of this district.
Thence S. 89 degrees 48' W., with the county boundary line
of said Nueces, and Kleberg Counties 1083.4 varas to a concrete
pillar marked "W" on west, "N" on northeast, and "K"
on the southeast side, and southeastern corner of Jim Wells
County for a corner of this district.
Thence N. 2 degrees 39' E., with the eastern boundary line of
said Jim Wells County and western boundary line of said
Nueces County to a point on said county line for a corner of this
district.
Thence east across the eastern half of the "Paso Ancho de
Arriba" grant and the western half of the "Paso Ancho de
Abajo" grant 5000 varas more or less to the southwestern corner
of Section No. 208, of the F. Z. Bishop subdivision of the Palo
Alto grant,. for a corner of this district.
Thence S. 72 degrees 42' E., with the southern boundary line
of said Section No. 208, and of Sections Nos. 205 and 196, 3895.4
varas to the southeastern corner of said Section No. 196, for a
corner of this district.
Thence N. 17 degrees 18' E., with the eastern boundary line
of said Section No. 196, and of Section No. 195, 3736.0 varas to
the northeastern corner of said Section No. 195, for a corner
of this district.
Thence S. 89 degrees 42' E., with the northern boundary line
of Section No. 193, and of Section No. 194, and a part of the
northern boundary line of Section No. 185, and across Sections
Nos. 185, 184, 175, 174, and 173, along the southern boundary
line of the F. Z. Bishop subdivision of the Brayton tract, being
the northern boundary line of the F. Z. Bishop Palo Alto Subdivision,
9935 varas more or less to the southeastern corner of
said F. Z. Bishop subdivision of the Brayton tract, and northeastern
corner of said F. Z. Bishop Palo Alto subdivision, for the
northeastern corner of this district.
