Your Most
Important Right
Mow that the bandstand has been
painted, and the park re-land-
scaped, we have about the nicest
village green in ihe county.
And it's all because, at the last
town election, folks got out and
Voted—8G per cent of them! That
way, they passed the amendment
calling for park improvements—
over those opposing it.
Reminds you again how Impor-
tant the right to vote is in this
country. And it's a right we cart
retain only by exercising it! ...
like all the other individual liber-
ties—from freedom to enjoy a
glass of beer or ale, to a woman's
right to vote along with men.
Folks can thank themselves tfoat
on summer evenings they'll be able
to listen to band concerts in a well-
kept park enjoying a bottle of
beer or soda pop (whichever they
prefer). Because from where I sit,
that's a freedom they've earned by
exercising a still more important
freedom: Voting!
