SINCE DENTONfS greatest crop is pot wheat
or cotton or cattle---but teachers, the so-
called Gilmer-Aikin laws will mean more to the
/future of Denton than would an oilfield in the
edge of town. Now, many young people will
choose teaching as a profession, now -they will
flock to our great colleges; and they'll have-
money to buy things.
TACK SHEPHERD has resigned to join the
Liquor Control Board, and JACK HARRISON,has-
been appointed Chief of Police. He comes from

in-law, Margaret, may know something about how
she got on the mailing list. • r

said,"I have an article ..here in our own paper
about it.” How many of you know the name of
our Baptist paper? One little boy held up his
hand and said "The DOINGS."
MELVIN SELF,wearing cow-boy boots-—which
he does very gracefully---met a friend in front
of the post off ice,- who said, "I don't see how
you get about in those things." Melvin said
they were much better than shoes, and started
up the steps and fell flat. Telling me about it.
his face was still red.
ONE OF MY little girl friends had cards
printed listing charges for baby-sitting:
"Sleeping babies, 250; Crying babies, 350; J
Wet babies,400; worse than wet babies, 500/
