The Kay Shuey Palm photograph collection consists of black-and-white negatives of people, places and events associated with the Armstrong County, Texas resident and her family and friends. They depict a range of farming and ranching activities, community events, family events, and other scenes in a rural west Texas community. Also included are vacation images recorded outside of Texas. Kay Shuey Palm (1885-1946) was born in Missouri and moved to the Texas Panhandle with her family in the early 1900s.

Published near the Texas coast since 1907, this paper served Palacios, or "The City by the Sea." The publishing office is the oldest continuously-run business in the community. The paper was digitized through the Tocker Foundation.
