About Lorena M. Parlee

Lorena May Maugeri Parlee was born December 18, 1945 in Los Angeles, California. She earned a master's degree in Latin American studies at Old Dominion University in 1969, and a doctorate in history at the University of California, San Diego, in 1981. During her career she served as a teacher, documentary filmmaker, press secretary for Cesar Chavez, and business executive. She died August 18, 2006, in Los Angeles California.
