Description: Photograph of the Carcel Publica in Ciudad Juarez. This is an up close photograph of the main entrance to the Carcel Publica (Public Jail) in Ciudad Juarez. This is the same building where the Juzgado Menor (Lower Courts) and the Juzgado De Letras (Trial Courts) were housed. Description: Photograph of Columbus Refugees. The Raid on Columbus, New Mexico was conducted by Pancho Villa and his band of insurrectos in March of 1916. To the east and north of Columbus is the Florida Mountain range; to the west and north is the Tres Hermanas Range; south, into Mexico, is the Sierra de los Palomas, and to the north is Cooke's Range. The accompanying information on the back of this photograph reads as follows: "Refugees from Columbus, New Mexico evacuated following raid?"
