Most ACC Fans don't realize it but the Wildcats have
been keeping company with the cream of the crop as small
college football goes.
Tho University of Chattanooga who sneaked passed
the 'Cats last week 22-12. wore ranked number four in
tho nation at game lime and ACC's first opponent East
Toxeis State is now listed as the number eight squad
In tho U.S.
And to top it off on Homecoming day November 1 Abi-
lene Christian takes on the nation's number one team the
Southerners from Mississippi Southern.
McLeod's Performance
A lot of favorable comment has been heard and read
about Wildcat end Robert McLeod's fine performance last
week in Chattanooga. One Chattanooga Times sports writer
stated in his game summary "The University of Chattanooga
couldn't stop Bob McLeod." .

The man to watch tomorrow night at El Paso Is Texas
Western quarterback Laraba. A specialist in passing Laraba
may hit ACC where it hurts-their pass defense. A former
all-conference signal caller the TWC ace completed five
touchdown passes in one game last year.
However Coach Nicholson has been preparing for
Laraba in squad workouts this week. One Wildcat player
put it this way. "All wo'vo dono is practice pass defense
. . defonso . . dofenso ."
QUOTES AND NOTES "Weak punts by the Wildcats
helped the Chattanooga cause." George Short Chatianoogs

being governed by a council of
students.

In 22-12 Win At Chattanooga
The Chattanooga Moccasins
ranked fourth in small college
polls downed the Wildcats ot
Abilene Christian College in last
Saturday night's game at Chat
tanooga.
Moccasins quarterback John
Green was the thorn in the Wild
cat's feet as he passed for two
'ouchdowns and ran the other.
The first Chattanooga TD came
on a 3-yard run by Green midway
in the first quarter. Late in the
first quarter the Moccasins scor-
ed again on a 17-yard aerial from
Green to end Bob Yurjevlc.
THE WILDCATS had pulled
within striking distance in the
jeeond quarter but were deflat-
ed when Green again uncorked a
13-yard pass to halfback Bill But-
ler in the last quarter.
Both of ACC's tallies came in
the second quarter with fullback
Bill Lovelncc skirting right end
for another yard and a touch-
down. QUARTERBACK Don Harber
scored on a quarterback plunge

Mrs. Llla Nutt director of wo-
men's Intramurals says that both
of the appointed pair ore Physical
Education majors and that they
will provide tho council with
trained help in organizing PE
activities and co-ordnating tho
Intramurals with the ACC Physi-
cal Education Department.
Mrs. Nutt also says that she
wishes the council to give the
students a voice in the Intramural
program. She hopes that the new
system allowing students to help
plan tho intramural program
should increase participation.
Mrs. Nutt says that in the past
many games have been lost by
forfeits because of misunder-
standings of game times. The
now system should help in this
problem . M "
AS FOR game rules the council
will strive to ronolve the conflicts
between Texas Athletic Associa-
tion and the National Athletic As-
sociation rules.
"In the past I have decided
which set of rules to use" said
Mrs. Nutt "Often times no ono
knew about rules until they wero
penalized for breaking them."
The council will also arrange
the awarding of plaques for tho
separate events and for the
championship club.
The council is now developing
tho point system to be used in de-
ciding the winners.
