Weakness. The most decided case of weakness we
hare seen lately is recorded in the following extract from
the Police report of the Picayune.
John M" Donald was discovered by the watchman late
at night unable te give any account of himself. When
he appeared before the Recorder he said that ha was a
poor unfortunate creature had no friends and no money.
The Recorder reprimanded him for his weakness and ad-
rised him to do better in future. John promised to take
the advice.
John must hare been 'weak indeed and the Recorder
did well fo reprimand him for it. If we had been on the
bench we would hare said to him in the style of a well
knewn Ex-recorder "this practice of having neither
friends nor money is obtaining to too great an extent in
this community and ought to be stopped." Too must suf-
fer some I send yon down for thirty days. Go along
now and don't let me catch you having no friends nor
money again. Its a very bad practice very.
Experience petrifies the Heart. The drops that trick
le within the cavern harden yet brighten into spars as
they indurate. Nothing is polished nothing more cold
than that wisdom which is the work of former tears of
former passions and is forced within a musing and solitary
mind!
Boars. People who talk of themselves when youare
thinking only of yourself.
