Federation of women’s
clubs ends 6bdi year

Federation of Women's
Clubs concluded its 66th
year at the October meet-
ing in the Palacios Libra-
ry.
Mrs. Charles C. Stone.
Sr., the 32nd individual
to serve as president,
acknowledged the past
presidents for their con-
tinuous participation in
uniting local clubs for the
purpose of mutual bene-
fit. The County Feder-
ation is affiliated with the
world's largest women's
organization.
The annual Memorial
Service with special rev-
erence honoring deceas-
ed members, relatives,
and friends of the club
was presented by Mrs.
Fred Law, Sr. A beau-
tiful Candle Ceremony
was used in remem-
brance of Mesdames
Blanche K. Claybourn,
Elizabeth Glenn, Ada B.
Thompson, Onella
Vaughn, Rose Horn Wat-
kins, Mary Elizabeth
Hurst, Adelaide Zipper-
inn, Alice Fanson, and

at the mqjor Intersections in Palacios recently, as
they begin their annual Halloween Candy sales.
Proceeds from the sales went for various charitable
