Worlds Fair Notes
A bull moose so large that he must
be shipped to St Lois in sections will
be one of the features of the Wash-
ington game exhibit at the Worlds
Fair It will be one of the finest spec-
imens ever exhibited It has been
found by actual measurement that the
antlers aro too high and wide spread-
ing to admit the moose being placed
in a box car The head will bo dis-
mounted and shipped separately
Steam boats on the Mississippi and
its tributaries aro being remodeled
and many new ones built to be used
next year for Worlds Fair traffic The
boats will make excursion trips to St
Louis where they will remain a week
giving the passengers an opportunity
to board on the boat while visiting the
Fair I
The contract for completely furnish-
ing the New Jersey stato building at
the Worlds Fair was awarded re-
cently The furnishings will be on
the new models of the old colonial
furniture to correspond with the ar-
chitecture of the building
The trophy which the Colombia
University of New York willprobably
send on to St Louis to be exhibited in
the trophy room of the physical cul-
ture departmentduringthe exposition
will be the old Hensley shell a four
oared boat about fifty feet in length
The Hensley shell is the only boat
v hich as propelled by American oars-
men won at Hensley The Colombia
crew of 1878 rowed in it and captured
the visitors cup
Carved Her Up

came involved in a row and one cut
the other pretty badly in the face
