Boston Jews to Take Advantage
of Texas Farms
Boston Mass Nov 21 A Shuman
Rabbi Fleischer and other prominent
and wealthy Hebrews of this city are
working on a plan for diverting tho
great tide of Jewish Immigration now
settling into the United States through
Boston Now York and other Atlantic
ports to Texas and other States
South and Southwest They propose
to settle the families on small farms
in little communities and provide
them with farming implements a few
head of stock to each farm and make
them selfsupporting The money
with which the plan is to be financed
will constitute a first lien on the farm
property to be paid from tho profits
after the settlers have become estab
lished and selfsupporting when they
will be given clear titles It is pro
posed to utilize a portion of tho great
Baron Helrsch fund now used to as-
sist emigrants in the cities The ob-
ject ofthe plan is to get tho Jews
away from the great labor centers
where they are prono to congregate
seriously disturbing the labor situa-
tion through their low wages and
poverty stricken condition

1st The room in which we have
been working is unsanitary unclean
and unhealthy The same has not

protest against and to denounce tho
painting of tho four windows in said

use for more than five years and the
windows were nover painted before
This may be regarded by tho general
public as a trivial matter but to us it
means a great deal for we each and
all claim to be young ladies of unim-
peachable integrity and character
and we hereby denounce tho painting
of said windows without our being
consulted or advised as to the neces-
sity or reason tborefor as it is an im-

none can be given for nailing down
said windows and it Is necessary that
a room occupied daily by from six to
eight persons should be ventilated
andbyfastening themVe are deprIve a

4th Wo do most seriously protest
against and request that the construc-

leading to said office bo at once re-
