He bought a 1/8 interest in the Sexton Lease from E. W. Scates, but couldn't
remember the price he paid. It has produced approximately $500. 00 a month income
to him. The Eastman survey indicated that Well No. 4 on that lease was
kicked 2,767 feet at angle of 55 When asked about the Sexton Lease, he testified:
Q. When did you first learn about the Sexton Lease having
improperly deviated wells ?
A. Probably when I read it in the paper.
Q. Did you have occasion to discuss that matter with
Mr Scates?
A. No, sir.
Q. Have you ever discussed that with him?
A. No, sir.
Q. Has he discussed it with you?
A. No, sir.
Q. Have you discussed this with any of the other interest
owners ?
