Mr. and Mrs. Phillip McKin-
la.v, 4716 Saxon, are back from
two weeks vacation in California
and the Southwest. Mr. and Mrs.
McKinlay, accompanied by El-
bert and Mary Lou, visited Dr.
Arthur McKinlay, Mr. Mckin-
lay’s uncle, in Los Angeles.
They also visited two former
Saxon Street neighbors now liv-
ing in California, Mr. and Mrs.
Josh Tharp and Mr. and Mrs.
James Dickerson.
Bride-Elect Judith Potter
Feted At Parties, Showers
A round of showers, luncheons
and parties have honored Miss
Judith Rae Potter, 815 North
Post Oak Rd., bride-elect of
Terrell F. Gates Jr. of San An-
tonio.
They will be married on Au-
gust 29 at First Methodist
Church.

VACATION TRIP
During a recent visit to the
west coast of Florida, Mr. and
Mrs. F. Girard Jr. of 5527 Grand
Lake in Bellaire enjoyed a trip
through Sarasota Jungle Gar-
dens where they saw colorful
wildfowl from every continent
roaming uncaged amid some of
Florida’s most beautitul scenery.
They were particularly interest-
ed in viewing the flock of 40
vivid flamingos at close range,
and in the display of giant Royal
Palms which border the jungle
trails.
