"Curious Ruling."—In
item under this caption in yes-
terday's Banner, it was stated
that the suspected darkies were
taken before Justice Ilynes.
This proves to have been an
error; Justice Ilynes states that
he did not have the pleasure ot
seeing the colored gentlemen at
all, or knowing anything about
the case until after they had
been released and left town.

Silver Wedding .Presents.-
The 10th of this month was the
twenty-fifth anniversary of the
wedding of Mr. & Mrs. B. D.
Dashiell. The friends of the
estimable couple did not ascer-
tain the tact until a day or two
ago. Yesterday being thanks-
giving day a number ot their
friends waited on Mrs. Dashiell
and presented her with twenty-
five silver dollars and a'so a
number of other valuable pres-
cnts.
IIiRSciinEiio will be happy to
see his old friends at his new
quarters on the south side of the
square. He has just received
some fresh honey and has on
hand some very tine old peach
brandy. This is a fact. His
billiard and pool tables are tree j
for the patrons of the house.
Tiie Banner is now prepared
to do job work at miraculously
low prices, having just received
a large lot of new type and
stationery, especially adapted
