Evangelism A survey of the Archaeological discoveries and their light upon scriptures, the
Bible lands, and customs. Cross-credit with Bible 4351. Spring odd years.

PRAC. THEOL. 4371. PREPARATION FOR CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE.
An examination of the Christian principles upon which the home and family can
achieve highest potential. Fall odd years.
Prerequisite: Bible 1311-1321 and P.Th. 1100. Three semester hours
PRAC. THEOL. 4381. STUDY TOUR OF BIBLE LANDS.
A study trip to the Bible lands for the purpose of intellectual stimulation, geographical
and archaeological information and cultural enrichment. The course
will involve some pre-tour preparation on the part of the student. Offered on
demand. Cross-credit with Prac. Theol. 4351.
Prerequisite: Consent of instructor. Three semester hours
PRAC. THEOL. 4391. SENIOR SEMINAR.
A seminar limited to senior students which will explore some of the most pressing
problems of man in the light of the student's entire college preparation.
Prerequisite: Bible 1311-1321, P.Th. 1100 and six hours of advanced
work from the School of Christianity. Three semester hours

Pr. EV. 2331. COMMUNICATIVE PREACHING.
(See OCS 2331 for description.) Cross-credit as OCS 2331.
Prerequisite: None. Three semester hours
Pr. EV. 3311. PREACHING.
An introduction to the art of preaching. Two hours lecture and two hours
laboratory per week. Modern techniques using video tape equipment for self
analysis. Fall even years.
Prerequisite: Bible 1311-1321 and Pr. Ev. 2331. Three semester hours
Pr. EV. 3341. ADVANCED PREACHING.
The art of preaching examined from a more mature viewpoint. The use of
conferences with- outstanding preachers and internship in churches will be
utilized. Spring even years.
Prerequisite: Pr. Ev. 3311 or consent of instructor. Three semester hours
Pr. EV. 3351. BASIC EVANGELISM.
An introduction to the Biblical basis of evangelism, a brief history of evangelism,
and a study of methodology in personal witnessing. Two hours lecture-two
hours laboratory. Fall odd years.
Prerequisite: Bible 1311-1321. Three semester hours
Pr. EV. 3171-3371. EVANGiELISM SEMINAR.
Participation in a traveling seminar to mission points. Trip requires preliminary
reading, lecture, study and learning experiences in the field, and a comprehensive
written examination. Spring even years.
Prerequisite: Pr. Ev. 3351. One-three semester hours
