securities markets; presentation of risk-return analysis; analysis of common
stocks and bonds, and introduction into portfolio analysis. Course

FIN 413 Portfolio Management (3-0-3), spring. Study of institutional
investment manager's decision-making process of combining securities
into portfolios whose risk-return characteristics are compatible with the

FIN 414 Bank Management (3-0-3), on demand. The organization of
the bank, sources of bank funds, allocation of bank funds, and supervision
and regulation of the commercial bank. Prerequisites: FIN 310,

FIN 415 International Business Finance (3-0-3), on demand. A study
of the concept of the balance of payments and its use by the international
financial manager, different methods of financing international trade
including the methods, documents, and institutions used, and an examination
of capital investments and international financial markets. Prerequisite:

allow a student to devote studies to an area of Finance not covered in

ISQS 120 Business Data Processing Concepts (3-2-3), fall, spring. Introduction
to computers and data processing in the creation and distribution
of management information within organizations. Introduction to
spreadsheet, word processing, and data base software as required in advanced
business courses and as desired by the business community.

ISQS 125 Computer Keyboarding (3-0-2), fall, spring. Techniques of
inputting data through the computer keyboard using the touch keyboarding
method. Course fee: $50.ISQS 220 Business Problem Programming (3-2-3), fall, spring. Introduction
to the primary computer language used in business today,
COBOL This course stresses the structure and design of computer
programs using COBOL Structured programming techniques are introduced
using an on-line computer system. Course fee: $50. Prerequisite:

ISQS 224 Basic Word Processing (3-0-3), spring. Hands-on development
of competencies in editing, formatting, and decision-making on the
word processor. Course fee: $50. Prerequisite: ISQS 125 or concurrent
enrollment.
ISQS 225 Microcomputer Applications (3-0-3), spring. Advanced concepts
for various software will be introduced--word processing, spreadsheets,
data base; additional software systems will be introduced as time
permits. Course fee: $50. Prerequisite: ISQS 120.
ISQS 226 Advanced Word Processing (3-0-3), fall. Advanced functions,
commands, and concepts of word processing. Course fee: $50.
Prerequisite: ISQS 224.
ISQS 227 Office Automation (3-0-3), fall. An overview of office
automation including systems, procedures, equipment, and job descriptions.ISQS 228 Word Processing Applications (3-0-3), spring. Use of computerized
word processing to create, edit, revise, store, retrieve, and
print documents that require advanced word processing functions.
Course fee: $50. Prerequisite: ISQS 226.
ISQS 320 Concepts of Computer Languages: Advanced COBOL and
Assembly Language Concepts (3-0-3), fall. Advanced programming
concepts using the COBOL language. Editing techniques are introduced.
Structured coding efficiencies are stressed. Sequential and key
index file concepts are introduced. Hardware design and machine coding
is explained using assembly language concepts. Elementary programs
and subroutines are developed using this low-level language. Course fee:
$50. Prerequisite: ISQS 220.
ISQS 322 Business Statistics (3-0-3), fall, spring. Survey of methods of
collection, analysis, presentation, and interpretation of business information.
Includes methods of sampling, uses of averages, construction of
graphs, index numbers, probability, distributions, hypothesis testing,
analysis of variance, chi-square, and correlation and regression analysis.
Course fee: $130. Prerequisites: MATH 130, 131, and junior standing.
ISQS 324 Management Information Systems (3-0-3), spring. Comprehensive
study of organization needs for information and integrated
management information systems; stresses the analysis, design, and
