The Purpose of
Abilene Christian
College Metrocenter
ACC Metrocenter is a center of
learning of Abilene Christian College.
A center of learning is defined
as a division or unit of an institution,
located in a geographical setting
separate from the parent institution
and established for a stated purpose
in relation to the parent institution
and to the area served. Thus
our purpose, like that of the parent
institution, is to educate our students
for Christian service throughout the
world.
Metrocenter emphasizes a curriculum
of liberal studies, exalts the Bible
as the Word of God, and strives for
Christian values in contemporary
life. The board of trustees, administration,
faculty, students, alumni,
and friends of the college are committed
to maintaining a community of
work and learning distinguished by
Christian character, the pursuit of the
tasks of scholarship, and an appreciation
of cultural and aesthetic values.
