Introduction To ACC Metrocenter
The main campus and offices of ACC Metrocenter are located in the rolling
countryside northeast of the Dallas metropolitan area in Mesquite, Texas. The
campus site was the home of Christian College of the Southwest until September
1, 1971, when Abilene Christian College assumed responsibility for operation
of the college. On June 1, 1972, signs for the campus were changed to read,
"Abilene Christian College."
When you enroll in Metrocenter, you are, in reality, enrolling in the Abilene
Christian College System. You become a student of ACC, and all of your
permanent records are kept on file at the parent institution in Abilene. You
may transfer within the system simply by enrolling at the campus you choose to
attend. We believe that the system concept gives you the opportunity of diversity
and answers the needs of many students who would otherwise fail to obtain a
Christian education.Academic Standing
