Financial Aid
The financial aid program at ACC is a multi-faceted
program to assist you in meeting today's college expenses.
Your resourcefulness, or that of your family, should be the
primary source of initial educational costs, but if you need
financial aid, the college will help you to arrange your plans
to finance your education. Briefly, you will work with the
Financial Aid Officer in pinpointing the exact amount
needed. Then he will help you meet this need - which may
take the form of a loan, a scholarship, student employment,
or a combination of the three.
National Direct Student Loans and Federally Insured
Student Loans are available for those who qualify.
College employment is of two basic types: students
qualifying for the College Work-Study program and those
paid from the regular college budget.
National Merit students, students with an ACT
composite score of 26, or above, valedictorians and
salutatorians are eligible for consideration. Transfer
students with high grade point averages will also be
considered. No consideration will be given to any student
who does not have at least a 3.0 grade point average. Also, a
student must be taking 6 hours each summer session to be
considered for any scholarship.
