Summer Session and You
Summer '75 is specifically designed for you. A growth
experience, a time when you can enjoy special advantages.
Summer is a time when big things happen not available
during the long term.
You can accelerate your program or reinforce areas of
weakness. You may take up to twelve hours in only eleven
weeks.
Some Reasons Why Summer Session is for You!
1. Smaller classes and therefore a more personalized
method of instruction.
2. Concentrated studies, concentrationg on one or two
key subjects rather than 5 or more in the long term.
3. A condensed college program completing a total
college career in 3-31/ years rather than 4-412 years
using only the long term semesters.
4. In view of the job scarcity which is apparent for
Summer 1975, many students will be unable to find
jobs and would make excellent use of their time by
attending the Summer Session.
5. There are specialized programs for Summer School
such as Mission Seminar, Bible Teacher's Workshop,
special courses such as Environmental Conservation
or Linguistics that we cannot offer during the regular
session. Many students would find this type of
opportunity exciting as it would further augment
their studies at ACC.
6. The new academic rule allowing students to re-take
D and F courses makes it possible for a student to
re-take a course in the Summer Session and thereby
begin the fall of next year with an improved GPA.
7. Students will be housed and classes conducted only
in air-conditioned dorms.
8. Special entertainment is planned for this summer
such as classic movies, picnics, etc.
Special Events Include:
Missions Seminar
Bible Teachers Workshop
Inst. Management & Work Simplification Seminar
Human Sexuality Seminar
American Studies Program
Environmental Conservation Seminar
Retail Marketing Seminar
Migrant Education Seminar
Film Appreciation
