Graduate School
DEGREES OFFERED
The Graduate School offers three degrees, the Master of Arts, the
Master of Science, and the Master of Education. Major fields of concentration
include the Biblical, doctrinal, historical, and practical fields of
the Bible Department, accounting, biology, chemistry, counseling,
elementary education, general business, history, mathematics, secondary
education, school administration and supervision, and speech.
COURSES
In this bulletin, graduate and undergraduate courses are listed
together by departments. Courses in the 5000 sequence are open to
advanced undergraduates and graduates. Courses in the 6000 sequence
are open to graduates only.

Barton, Dean of the Graduate School, Abilene Christian College, Abilene,
Texas.
Scholarships and Loans
American Studies Fellowships-Twenty-five scholarships for first
six-week summer term are available in American Studies to public
school teachers. The grants include tuition, fees, room and board.
Deadline for application is April 1. Requests for application forms
should be directed to Coordinator of American Studies Program.
Teachers and Preachers Scholarship -Full- time teachers and
preachers can meet requirements for $50 summer session scholarships.
These grants are good only for graduate study. Application forms
available from L. D. Hilton, Assistant Business Manager.
Valedictorian and Salutatorian Scholarships-Available to highest
and second highest ranking high school graduates are $100 scholarships
which are prorated over four semesters or four 12-week summer
sessions. Correspondence should be directed to L. D. Hilton, Assistant
Business Manager.
Government Loans-Loans under the National Defense Education
Act of 1958 are available at Abilene Christian College. Summer students
must have attended ACC during the 1966 spring semester or plan to
attend the 1966 fall semester to be eligible. Inquiries should be directed
to L. D. Hilton, Assistant Business Manager. Applications should be
made by March 1.
Other Financial Aid-Some other scholarships, loans and assistantships
are available to summer students at Abilene Christian College.
