232-Six Man Football.
This course is designed to meet the growing demand for coaches
of six man football. The content deals with financing, publicity,
organization, practice, teaching aids and devices, and fundamentals,
as well as a study of all types of offense and defense
as used by the outstanding coaches and authorities of six man
football.
233-Coaching.
This is an elementary course in coaching designed for part-time
coaches who wish to become acquainted with the fundamentals
of the major sports. Both theory and practice will be emphasized.152-Baseball.
An elementary course in playground and soft ball designed for
part-time coaches who are required to coach this sport in
Interscholastic League work. Both theory and practice will be
emphasized.
352-Methods in Health Education for High Schools.
This course is designed to meet the state requirements for
teachers of secondary schools. The content is based primarily
on adolescent girls' and boys' interests, needs and characteristics.
Formerly called School Health Problems.
253-Football.
Involving both theory and practice, this course is designed for
those who are preparing to do full-time coaching.
254-First Aid.
This is an advanced course in First Aid for upperclassmen.
Regular studies in first aid work are supplemented with
research problems in safety. Accident problems are given and
enacted in class.
261-Medical Corps First Aid.
A special course in advanced first aid for training young men
in medical corps work, including practical problems in rendering
aid to the injured, litter drill, etc.
154-Track.
Description, same as for baseball.
365-Team Sports (Women).
Theory and practice of basketball, volley ball, playground
ball and soccer.
258-Basketball.
Description, same as for football.
360-Community Recreation.
This course deals with the modern play movement from the
standpoint of child development, school administration and the
wider community use of leisure time.
370-Organization and Administration of Physical Education.
The program of activities; evaluation, adaptation, selection,
management; construction and repair of facilities, organization
of materials; classification for work; teaching standards of
