SESSION OF 1922-'23 53
advanced courses must be in the major subject and enough others
in the minors to make nine. In addition the student must make
one hundred and eighty grade points.
Additional courses will be required of all students who fail
to make the required number of points, or who fail to make the
average grade. The number of courses required will be determined
by the grade and points made on the additional work.
Enough courses will be required to satisfy the fourth requirement
above.
Fifth.-Each student will be required to write a thesis of
about five thousand words on some phase of his major subject.
The outline must be approved by the professor in charge not
later than March 15 of his senior year, and the final copy of the
thesis submitted to the committee not later than May 15 of the
same year. A typewritten copy of the thesis must be left in the
library..
Sixth.-The Bachelor of Arts degree will not be conferred
upon any student who is known to be a cigaret fiend.
Seventh.-A student must do at least seven of his thirty-six
courses while registered as a senior, three of which must be in
his major subject. This requirement may be waived by the Dean
in case the senior is a former student of Abilene Christian College.Eighth.-Exemptions from final examinations will be granted
to seniors upon an average grade of B. This applies only to the
last term's work. No substitutions may be made.
Ninth.-Seniors will be required to take all tests given up to
within two weeks of graduation day. The work covered during
Senior Week may be included in such tests.
FORM FOR THESIS.
1. All copies shall be type-written on white paper. The
size of sheets shall be eight and one half by eleven (81/2xll),
with a margin of 11/2 inches at the left and a margin of 3/4 inch
at the right and the bottom.
2. The thesis shall contain:
(1) A title page. This page shall contain the title, the
student's name, date, the degree applied for and the signatures
