'to the bibliography shall be foot-noted on the page where
it occurs.
CERTIFICATES.
The following certificates may be issued by Texas Colleges
under the new law:
1. Upon the completion of one year of college work either
of two kinds of certificates may be issued.
a. Elementary certificate valid for four years in grades
one to seven inclusive.
b. High School certificates valid for two years in all
grades.
2. Upon the completion of the second year of college work
either of two kinds of certificates may be issued.
a. Elementary certificates valid for six years in grades
one to seven inclusive. This certificate becomes permanent
after the holder has used it in teaching five years.
b. High School certificate valid for four years.
3. Upon the completion of the junior year of college work
a high school certificate valid for six years will be conferred.
4. Upon the completion of the senior year of college work
a permanent high school certificate will be conferred.
Note.-It is understood that at least one hundred and eight
recitation hours of each year's work must be in education.54
