ABILENE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE
All students receiving free tuition on this score are required
to take two courses each term in Bible.
These students must also be willing to take the lead in religious
activities of the school, particularly mission study, young
people's meetings, and Bible classes on Sunday.
Students receiving free tuition must make grades averaging
B or above, counting all their courses, and must pursue at least
twelve hours of regular work.
Also, students that accept this privilege may be required to
contribute therefor their services in doing clerical, library, or
other office work under the direction of the faculty as may be
desired by the management, not to exceed a total of four hours
per week.
SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES.
All the work of Abilene Christian College is divided into
four distinct schools:
1. The College of Arts and Sciences, which offers courses
in eleven different departments, and which confers upon the
successful completion of a four year course the Bachelor of
Arts degree.
2. The School of Fine Arts, containing the departments of
Art, Expression, Piano, Violin, and Voice.
3. The Academy, which is a training school covering the
work of the ordinary high school.
As the laboratory of the Department of Education in the College
of Arts and Sciences there is maintained a model training
school for the first seven grades.
4. The School of Extension and Correspondence.28
